It’s a fact that several solutions have been out there for a long time (including the one where you remove the colored stickers and glue them back on), but YouTube just makes it so much easier.
So, without further ado, go get that old thing out of the chest and start slowly with step one. A few last words of incentive: yes it is a real puzzle, yes it involves lots of mathematics and yes, it is hard to crack. Of course that like any other puzzle, once you learn the solution to it, there are no more secrets … but beware, even with a step-by-step visual aid, a blink of distraction will be enough to set you off the course:
